How-to guide to make a cat hammock out of an old pillow case. I'm sure you could use a towel or sheet as well. I like this idea - even if you DON'T run an animal shelter!

These are a lot sturdier than they look. Plus they are much easier on the pocket book than the traditonal cat climbers you see in the pet stores. I like it because you can take it apart and wash it or pack it up to move.

My Cats like it too, and I am actually going to admit that it matches my colors in my house...

These are a great way for your cat's to get some of the clawing action they crave. These are between 5-10 dollars and have refil cardboard pieces you can buy. Plus they recycle and it doesn't take up a lot of room in your house, I stick mine under
a table where you can't see it.

My cats love them and use them alot.

Let Sleeping Dogs Lie

An old, tired-looking dog wandered into the yard. I could tell from his collar (though no tags) and well-fed belly and clean that he had a home.

He followed me into the house, down the hall, and promptly fell asleep on the couch.

My dogs didn't seem to mind him. He seemed like a good dog and I was OK with him, so I let him nap. An hour later he ambled to the door and I let him out.

The next day he was back, resumed his position on the couch, and slept for an hour.

This continued for days. Curious, I pinned a note to his collar: "Every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap. I don't mind but want to be sure it's OK with you."

The next day he arrived with a different note pinned to his collar.

"He lives in a home with six children -- all boys. I'm sure he's just trying to catch up on his sleep. May I come with him tomorrow?"
